Danny J. Gibb

Danny J. Gibb, age 73, of Biggsville, Illinois, passed away at 12:02 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. He was born on March 21, 1946 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Jack Burrell and Irhmel Ruth (Brewer) Gibb. Danny was a graduate of Union High School with the Class of 1964. He later attended the University of Illinois and graduated in 1968. While at the University, Danny served as president of the Young Republican Party. After attending school, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served as a Staff Sgt. Danny was a supervisor with the United States Small Business Administration in Washington, DC from which he retired. Danny is survived by two sisters; Janet Lindo and Karen (Craig) Rima, both of Biggsville, Illinois, two brothers; Larry (Linda) Gibb of Advance, North Carolina and Steven Gibb of Biggsville, Illinois, five nieces and four nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Paul, Gary, and Jackie.

As were Danny's wishes, cremation is being accorded. No services are currently planned. A memorial is being established for Reid's Park in Biggsville, Illinois.
