Obituary for Susan E. "Susie" Goff

Susan E. "Susie" Goff, age 99, of Biggsville, Illinois, passed away at 10:46 A.M. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Oaklane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst, Illinois. She was born September 14, 1918 in Kirkwood, Illinois, the daughter of Roy V. and Carrie L. (Carnes) Larimer. Susie was reared and educated in the Rozetta area and graduated from Kirkwood High School. On February 28, 1940, she married W. Harland Goff in Monmouth, Illinois and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2004. Susan was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, flowers, and baking. She also enjoyed being in business with her husband while he ran Goff's Trucking in Biggsville. Susan most enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons; Dick Goff and Jim (Terry) Goff, both of Biggsville, IL, grandchildren; Caralea (Lonnie) Link, Maralea (Dennis) Wright, Richard (Renee) Goff, Stacy (Brian) Peak, and Casey (Jena) Goff. Susan is also survived by many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harland, two sisters; Lois Wallace and Mary Jean Glenn, and one brother, Charles Larimer.


To honor her wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at the Biggsville Township Cemetery. A memorial fund in being established for Oaklane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst, IL.
