Aileen Marie Saint Ledger, age 59, of Grayslake, Illinois and formerly of Monmouth, passed away at 2:15 pm on December 17, 2021 at Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville, Illinois. Aileen was born on September 16, 1962 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the daughter of James Dean and Nancy Joanne Burke St. Ledger. She attended Immaculate Conception School and Monmouth High School, where she graduated. She then attended and graduated from Monmouth College with a Bachelor's Degree in the Arts. Harlow Bloom was her mentor, and her interest was in Acrylics and creating unique paintings. After her schooling she was in Monmouth a year and then moved to Grayslake, Illinois and working at Jewel/Osco and was there for thirty to the present. Aileen's interests included her pets and animals, reading and plants. She always put everyone else ahead of herself and her family always would come first. She is survived by her mother, Nancy J. St.Ledger of Monmouth, Illinois and two brothers, Raymond P. St.Ledger of Olympia, Washington and Kevin T. St.Ledger of Phoenix, Arizona. Also surviving are her aunts, Helen St.Ledger of East Moline and Anita St.Ledger of Quincy. There are five uncles, Paul St.Ledger and Therese of East Moline, Don St.Ledger and Ginger and Bernard St.Ledger and Diana, both of Roseville, Chuck Dixon of Little York, and Keith E. Burke of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Also surviving are cousins as well as two very close friends, Denise Nation and Carla Sarantopoulos. She is preceded in her death by her father, Dean, her sister, Alisa Coleen St.Ledger, her brother David St.Ledger, and two aunts, Lois and Mary Barbara.

A Mass of the Christian Burial is planned on Wednesday December 29, 2021 at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth, Illinois. A Rosary is planned to be recited at 10:00 am prior to the mass at the church. Interment will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Monmouth, Illinois.
