Angela K. Boyd

Angela K. Boyd, age 56, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at Serenity of Lake Story in Galesburg, Illinois at 9:40 am. Angela was born on April 28, 1964 in Monmouth, and is the daughter of  James A. and Sharon Kay Crain Gorman. Angela was raised in Monmouth where she attended Immaculate Conception School and Monmouth High School.  Angela married James Ernest "Jimbo" Boyd on June 4, 1993 in Monmouth, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2013. Angela work for a number of years in housekeeping at Applegate Inn in Monmouth, and later did housekeeping at Legacy Estates of Monmouth. She enjoyed country music. Surviving Angela are her parents, Jim Barry Sr. of Monmouth, and Sharon and Chet Gorman also of Monmouth, IL. Her daughter Elizabeth Baker and Daniel of Galesburg, IL and their children Ryen, Cayden, and Connor Baker, all of Galesburg, IL. There are two sisters, Linda Wells and Christine Root and Dave, both of Monmouth, IL and two brothers, James Barry, Jr. and Tonya of Oquawka, IL and Thomas Barry and Kim of Knoxville, Illinois. She is preceded in her death by her husband Jimbo and her sister Gayle Powers. 
A graveside funeral service for Angela is planned at 11:00 am on Thursday October 22, 2020 at the Monmouth Cemetery. Friends may call and pay their respect to Angela anytime on Wednesday at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Due to Covid 19 and the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control, social distancing and masks are being recommended to all.
