Barbara J. Millard

Barbara J. Millard, age 61, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 12:30 AM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at her residence. She was born August 29, 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of Donald E. and Yolanda M. (Jones) Millard, Sr. Barbara was raised by her step-mother, Carol Ann Millard.  Barbara attended schools locally and also attended Union High School. 

Barbara worked for many years at the UPS Store in Roswell, New Mexico. She also provided care to many elderly folks in their homes. Mostly, she worked retail sales in many clothing stores. Barbara has since retired. She enjoyed cooking, known especially for her Mexican food dishes. Mostly, she loved being with her family, nieces and nephews, and friends.

Barbara is survived by one sister, Christine L. Millard of Oquawka, IL, three brothers; Donald Millard, II of Oquawka, IL, Timothy Millard of Galesburg, IL, and Gary (Christa) Millard of Oquawka, IL, one half-sister, Monica R. Jones, and one half-brother, Michael R. Jones. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents an her step-mother Carol Ann Millard.

As were Barbara's wishes, cremation is being accorded and no services are planned.
