Connie Nichols Obituary

Connie Jo Nichols, age 74, of  Biggsville, Illinois; passed away at her residence in Biggsville, on November 5, 2021 at 6:32 am. Connie was born on August 6, 1947 in Macomb, Illinois and is the daughter of Joseph A and Maggie E. Goff McDermeit. She attended grade school in Good Hope, Illinois and graduated from Northwestern High School with the class of 1965. Connie was employed at Winegard of Burlington, Iowa for thirty-five years and retired as it's Transportation Manager. In early years she was very active in the Macomb Assembly #44 Order of the Rainbow Girls at the Macomb Masonic Temple. More recently she has been the owner and operator of "Tancraftic" in Biggsville, Illinois and has operated that for many years in Biggsville, Illinois. She is survived by three sons, Chase Nichols of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Bill and Sarah McDermeit of Biggsville, Illinois; and Cole Nichols and Brad of Burlington, Iowa. There are two granddaughters, Jordan and Madison McDermeit in Arkansas and two grandsons, Payton Eberts in Iowa City, Iowa and Bradyn McDermeit in Biggsville, Illinois. There is her great granddaughter Kinley Turner also in Arkansas. A number of nieces and nephews survive and her beloved dog " Lizzie ". She is preceded in her death by her parents and an infant brother Ronald, and her brother and sister in law, Donald and Linda McDermeit.

As were he wishes, cremation has been accorded and interment of her ashes is to be at a later date. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of her care.
