Elizabeth A. Turley

Elizabeth A. Turley, age 81, of Biggsville, Illinois; passed away at 1:15 am on May 17, 2021 at her residence in Biggsville, Illinois. "Liz" was born on July 21, 1939 in Monmouth and is the daughter of Ernest Clarence "Dick" and Mary Jean Foster Turley. She was raised and educated in both the state of Georgia and grades of Monmouth, Illinois and then graduated from Biggsville High School with the class of 1957. Elizabeth began work after her schooling at Gamble Skogmo Warehouse in Monmouth and has been working in accounting locally all of her adult life. She later worked at Shippers Grain in Biggsville, and then at Teklab Mills in Winfield, Iowa. She also was employed in the Henderson County Treasurer's office in Oquawka, and was a member and served as it's treasurer at the Biggsville United Presbyterian Church for twenty years. "Liz" loved to go shopping and especially loved to go out to lunch with her friends. She is survived by her sister, Jan Moan and Bruce of Phoenix, Arizona, and was especially fond of her three Nieces, Shawna Bauer and Jeffrey of Westminster, Colorado, Dawn Moan-Minott of Phoenix, Arizona, and Sarah Moan and Dwight of Mesa, and her two nephews, Allan Miles of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Kingston Minott of Phoenix, Arizona. A number of other relatives are also surviving. She is preceded in her death by her Grand Parents, Harvey and Gertrude Foster, her parents, and her brother "Bill.

A funeral service is being planned on Friday May 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at South Henderson Church in rural Biggsville, Illinois  Her family plans to be at the church for the hour prior to the funeral service, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment will then be in the Biggsville Township Cemetery.  A memorial fund is being established for the South Henderson Church. Turnbull Funeral Home is in charge of her care.
