Gary L. Hull, age 72, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 9:00 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Serenity of Lake Storey in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born February 17, 1948 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Sara (Sickles) Hull. Gary was raised and educated in Monmouth where he attended local schools and Monmouth High School and later he received his General Education Degree. Gary L. Hull, age 72, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 9:00 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Serenity of Lake Storey in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born February 17, 1948 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Sara (Sickles) Hull. Gary was raised and educated in Monmouth where he attended local schools and Monmouth High School and later he received his General Education Degree. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army where he attained the rank of Spec E-5. He married Kathleen Kidd on March 20, 1972 in Monmouth and she preceded him in death on May 28, 1983. Gary worked as a welder at Butler Manufacturing for thirty years and until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but mostly, Gary loved his grandchildren and family. He is survived by his mother, Sara Hull of Monmouth, one son, Joey (Nicole) Hull of Monmouth, Illinois, his grandchildren Emery and Kayden Hull, and two sisters, Nancy (Larry) Livingston of Monmouth, Illinois and Madeline (Steve) Swanson of Alabaster, Alabama. Gary is preceded in death by his father, wife Kathleen, sister Linda, and brother Michael.

A private family gathering is being planned on Thursday. As per his wishes and due to Covid 19 restrictions, no public service or visitation is being planned by his family. His interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.
