Kenneth "Dean" Bundy

Kenneth "Dean" Bundy, age 78, of Gladstone, IL. passed away at 8:38 AM on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at his home. Dean was born December 30, 1943 in Gladstone; the son of Charles “Chet” and Bertha Elizabeth (Tracy) Bundy. He grew up in Gladstone and attended Union High School. On October 23, 1965, he married Patricia Keever in Biggsville, IL. and she is surviving.

Dean enjoyed a twenty-six year career at J.I. Case in Burlington, IA; from which he retired. For many years, Dean served the community as a firefighter with the Gladstone Fire Department. Dean enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, watching wrestling, collecting John Deere memorabilia, riding his golf carts with his grandkids, and tinkering around in his garage.

Dean is survived by his wife Patricia of Gladstone, IL; one daughter: Tamara (Blaine) Mattson of Oquawka, IL; two sons: Kenneth (Susan) Bundy of Gladstone, IL; and Kevin (Millie) Bundy of Oquawka, IL; two sisters: Evelyn Montroy of AR; and Mary (Leroy) Hull of Gladstone, IL; and two brothers: Charlie (Janice) Bundy of Oquawka, IL; and Larry (Donna) Bundy of Oquawka, IL.  Also surviving are his grandchildren: Kayla (Jim) Spiker of Oquawka, IL; Kyle Bundy of Gladstone, IL; Kelsey (Tyler) Pullen of Center, MO; Allison (Ryan) Johnson of Kirkwood, IL; Jamie Bundy of Oquawka, IL; and Korey Bundy of Knob Knoster, MO. Dean has seven great-grandchildren: Gannon and Gavin Spiker; Bennett and Kinsley Pullen; and Bella, Carter, and Kaiden Root. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: William "Bub", James, and Donald Bundy.

A private graveside service for Dean is planned. His family will receive family and friends on Monday, November 14th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, IL. A memorial is being established for the Gladstone Fire Department.
