Lillian Vice

Lillian B. Vice, age 98, formerly of Kirkwood, Illinois; passed away at 1:00 am on Sunday November 15, 2020 at Graham Hospital in Canton, Illinois shortly after her 98th birthday. She had recently moved to Courtyard Estates in Farmington, Illinois to be closer to family. Lillian was devoted to her family, her friends, her church, and her community. She loved the village of Kirkwood, and showed that love by being an active participant in the Senior Citizen's Center, Community Club, Home Extension, Red Hat Society, and Kirkwood United Methodist Church, as long as her family permitted. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, grandson, Daniel Scroggins, and her husband, Paul Vice, who passed away in October of 2007. She is survived by her three children, Mary Scroggins of Naperville, IL; David and Jhen Vice of Bartonville, IL; and Edah and Tom Hefley of Trivoli, IL. Also surviving are two grandchildren and four great grandchildren . She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. 
Due to Covid restrictions, arrangements.and a  private family graveside service is planned at 1:30 pm on Saturday December 12, 2020.  Memorials may be sent to the Kirkwood United Methodist Church. 235 S. Kellogg St. Kirkwood, IL 61447, where she was a lifelong member; or the Warren County History Museum, 238 S. Sunnylane in Monmouth, IL 61462, a place which she loved and where she had donated many historical items. Due to Covid 19 recommendations by the CDD and the family preference, social distancing and facial coverings are recomended.
