Phyllis Miller Obituary

Phyllis Ann Miller, 85, of Kirkwood, Illinois, passed away on October 1, 2020. She was born September 23, 1935 to Luther and Blanche Zimmerman. She married the late Robert E. Hall and later married Otho J. Miller. Phyllis and Bob had three children, Beckey (Dennis) of Oquawka, Illinois, Teresa (Jim) Welch of Cuba, Illinois, and Steve (Nancy) Hall of Galesburg, Illinois. Phyllis was lucky to gain two children when she married Otho; Lovena Miller of San Antonio, Texas and Bruce (Oleta) Miller of Urbana, Illinois. She was blessed with 24 grandchildren; Beckey's: Mark (Adonna) Condreay, Mike Condreay, Gary (Kathy) Condreay, Chad (Lisa) Condreay, Sara (Virgil) Borchelt, Ryan (Katie) Condreay, Adam (Shanae) Condreay, and Brad Dennis; Teresa's: Emily (Arlin) Boles, Clarissa (Ron) Halm, and Lottie (Josh) Havens; Steve's: Nikki (Nick) Bussan, Natalie (Seth) Clark, John Hall, Alex (Joyce) Hall, Kalyn (John) Servis, and Grant Hall; Lovena's; Matthew Pittsley and Michaela Pittsley; and Bruce's; Alona Miller, Katya Miller, and Dasha Miller; 38 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. Phyllis had ten brothers and sisters; Marge (Dick) Higbee - Don Applebee, Joan (David) Gustafson, Diane (John) Boughman, Bernard Zimmerman, Loretta (Bill) Carley, Mary (Richard) Keime, Carol Farra, Burl Zimmerman, Lee Zimmerman, and Dean (Megan) Zimmerman. She is survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Those preceding her in death: her parents, four sisters, two brothers, and three grandchildren.

Phyllis was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood, P.E.O. Sisterhood of Kirkwood, Illinois, and a Gold Star Member of Galesburg American Legion Auxiliary Post #285.

Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is handling the arrangements. Due to COVID-19 private services will be held. Memorials may be left for the Westminster United Presbyterian Church or the Gold Star of the Galesburg American Legion Auxiliary Post #285.
