Reva M. Zielke

Reva M. Zielke, age 82, of Alexis, Illinois; passed away at 9:30 am on July 19, 2020 at her residence. Reva was born on March 17, 1938 in Monmouth, and is the daughter of Edgar Vernon and Edith Vern Murrell-Icenogle. She was raised in Monmouth where she attended local schools and graduated from Monmouth High School with the class of 1956. Reva was first married to Ralph L. Faulkner on June 17, 1956 in Monmouth, Illinois. She later married Donald R.Zielke on August 5, 1977 in Galesburg, Illinois and he preceded her in his death on February 25, 2008. Reva had various employments in Monmouth prior to going to work as a clerical for the State of Illinois Galesburg Research Hospital in Galesburg. Upon it's closing she became the manager of the commissary for the State of Illinois at the Henry Hill Correctional Institution in Galesburg, IL  She is survived by her son, Rod Faulkner and Becky of Omaha, Nebraska, her daughter, Valerie Zook and Don of Aledo, Illinois and her son, John Zielke and Chris of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister, Janice Rader and Larry of Galesburg, IL. and many loved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in her death by her parents, husband, Donald, one son, Monte and his wife, four sisters, and one brother. 

A memorial service at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth.  Recommendations for Social Distancing and facial masks are suggested. Cremation is being accorded and no viewing or visitation is being planned by her family. A memorial fund is being established for the Norwood United Presbyterian Church.
