Sandra K. Howell

Sandra K. Howell, age 67, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 1:04 PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at her residence. She was born on March 5, 1952 in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of Lawrence A. and Mary K. Brasche Pierce. Sandra attended local schools and graduated from Monmouth High School with the Class of 1970. On August 29, 1981, she married Samuel D. Howell in Monmouth, Illinois and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2009. Sandra worked for many years at Cottage Corner Restaurant as a cook and waitress in Monmouth and enjoyed meeting new people while working there. Sandra enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, watching television, shopping and spending her time visiting with family and friends.

Sandra is survived by one daughter, Susan Burnett of Kirkwood, Illinois, two sons, Jacob Vanskike of Monmouth, Illinois and Jeremy (Angel) Vanskike of Alma, Michigan, step-sister Debra West, step-brothers Randy and Danny West, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and step- brothers, aunts, and uncles. 

As were Sandra's wishes cremation is being accorded. No services are being planned. Private interment will be held at Warren County Memorial Park. Memorials may be left to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
