Vickie J. Haase

Vickie Jo Haase, age 59, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 12:54 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. "Vic" was born on November 9, 1961 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the daughter of Allie G. and Marilynn Jo Smith Haase. Vickie attended Harding Elementary school and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1979. When she was 16 years old she began working with her uncle Ivan Haase at "True Value" Hardware. She also worked at Pamida, Jacks, and Shopko stores in Monmouth. She then began work as a Pharmacy Technician for Martie Thurman at Econo Foods also of Monmouth. Later she worked at Maytag Corp in Galesburg as an inspector for thirteen years. Vickie also was a Pharmacy Technician at Axline Pharmacy of Monmouth and lastly was employed at Courtyard Estates. Vic loved to show, care for, and ride horses. and she loved to do yard work around the home. 
She is survived by her mother, Marilynn Haase of Burlington, Iowa, and her fiancé, Jon M. Lovdahl also of Monmouth, Illinois Her brother, Tony R. Haase of Gilson, Illinois is surviving and her aunt, Marjorie A. Goodwin of Burlington, Iowa and three uncles, Terry R. Smith in Stockdale, Texas; Irvin Haase and Carol of Monmouth, Illinois; and Ivan Haase in Florida survives. She is preceded in her death by her father. 

Cremation has been accorded Vickie, and friends may call for a day on November 30, 2020 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Social distancing and face masks are highly recommended. A memorial fund is being established for "Rainbow Riders" in Monmouth, and may be left at Turnbull Funeral Home.
